    • Salary:
      £50000 - £60000 per annum

    • Location:
      Birmingham

    Role Overview

A leading national law firm is seeking a talented Solicitor to join its Medical Negligence team in Birmingham.

They are willing to consider solicitors without specific clinical negligence litigation experience and will provide support and mentoring to retrain into this area of work.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly regarded practice supporting clients through complex and life-changing clinical negligence claims.

    Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
We are keen to speak with ambitious Solicitors with between 2 and 6 years’ PQE who are looking to build a long-term career in clinical negligence work.

Whilst experience in serious injury, catastrophic injury or clinical negligence would be advantageous, it is by no means essential.  The team is happy to consider candidates looking to retrain from a broad range of civil litigation backgrounds, including insurance litigation, defendant personal injury, professional negligence, contentious probate, commercial litigation and other litigated disciplines.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

    • A strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation process
    • Experience handling contested matters from inception through to resolution
    • Confidence managing their own caseload and client relationships
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation and case management skills
    • The ability to analyse complex facts and legal issues
    • Strong communication and client care abilities
    • A genuine interest in developing a specialist career in high-value international serious injury litigation
    • A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a high-performing team

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation lawyer seeking to transition into a highly specialised and rewarding area of practice, with the support, training and supervision of one of the UK’s leading clinical negligence teams.

    Whats on Offer?
Working closely with a respected Partner in the West Midlands team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of high-value and sensitive matters, including brain injuries, delayed cancer diagnoses, fatal claims, and serious orthopaedic injuries. The role offers a strong platform for career progression within a supportive and collaborative environment.
