Professional Indemnity Solicitor
Role Overview
We are working on behalf of a well-regarded national law firm to recruit a property damage or professional indemnity solicitor to join its expanding team. Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will support a specialist commercial insurer on a range of complex and high-value disputes.
You’ll handle a broad caseload of professional indemnity, public liability, property damage, and management liability (D&O) matters. The work involves both coverage advice and litigation, dealing with claims up to and exceeding £5 million.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a Legal 500 ranked team operating within a modern, commercially minded law firm.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
We are keen to speak to candidates who can demonstrate:
- NQ+ years PQE (or equivalent) in insurance litigation.
- Experience in professional indemnity or property liability (defendant preferred).
- Proven ability to manage a caseload and provide coverage advice.
- Familiarity with professional risks (e.g., construction, accountancy, tech, care, not-for-profit).
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and IT skills (case management systems, MS Office).
- Prior exposure to subrogated recoveries is desirable but not essential.
