Role Overview
We are working with a highly regarded national law firm to recruit a solicitor or legal executive (1–3 PQE) into their clinical negligence team, based in Bristol.
This role focuses on assisting in complex birth injury claims, particularly relating to quantum, as well as supporting senior team members on other high-value clinical negligence cases. You’ll be delivering legal advice with commercial awareness and ensuring top-tier client service. The position also involves contributing to the firm’s ongoing business development and profile-raising activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with high-value birth injury cases and quantum assessments
- Taking client instructions and managing expectations
- Collaborating closely with partners and senior lawyers to develop client relationships
- Supporting the wider team and building strong internal relationships
- Managing time recording, WIP, and billing effectively
- Working towards team and personal KPIs
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for:
- A qualified solicitor or legal executive with 1–3 years’ PQE
- Experience in birth injury, complex clinical negligence, or high-value personal injury work
- Strong communication and client-handling skills
- A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong mathematical and Excel skills, particularly for quantum work
- Candidates must demonstrate sound legal judgment, attention to detail, and a clear client-focused approach.
