    Role Overview

    Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Solicitor to join its highly regarded Medical Negligence team in Birmingham.  This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a top-tier practice known for handling complex and high-value clinical negligence claims across a wide range of specialisms.

    Working within a well-established and supportive team, you will play a key role in representing clients who have suffered as a result of medical negligence.  The team deals with a broad spectrum of cases including obstetric, neonatal, spinal injury, wrongful birth, anaesthetic, cardiac, oncology and psychiatric claims. You will work closely with experienced senior lawyers on complex matters while also taking ownership of your own caseload.

    This position offers the chance to make a genuine difference to clients during challenging times, whilst continuing to develop your expertise within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

    Candidate Profile / Experience

    Needed We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

    • 4+ years’ PQE in clinical negligence, ideally with claimant experience, although defendant backgrounds will also be considered
    • Strong experience managing a caseload independently, including litigated matters
    • Proven involvement in supporting senior colleagues on complex, high-value claims
    • The ability to provide clear, accurate legal advice with a compassionate and client-focused approach
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients
    • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to business development activities
    • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
