Role Overview:
Join an award-winning, nationally recognised personal injury and civil liberties law firm with offices in Manchester and Liverpool. This role is within the expanding civil liberties team, specialising in actions against the police and public bodies. You will manage your own caseload of multi-track litigation, including claims for unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, human rights breaches, malicious prosecution, misfeasance in public office, and judicial reviews. The position requires strong litigation skills, including experience running cases to trial with Counsel.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed:
- Qualified solicitor with NQ to 5 years PQE
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing own Part 7 litigation caseload
- Experience in multi-track cases and civil jury trials preferred but not essential
- Excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and pre-action disclosure
- Proven ability to run cases to trial, working with Counsel
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Exceptional client care and case quality control
- Proficient with case management systems (e.g., Proclaim) and IT skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Additional:
