Role Overview:
A respected, multi-disciplinary legal practice in Manchester city centre is seeking a Litigation File Handler to join their Business Interruption team. This full-time, permanent role involves managing a busy caseload of commercial litigation matters, coordinating all litigation activity, and offering technical guidance to junior staff. The role will see you working closely with Counsel and other external providers in a dynamic, city-based legal environment.
Candidate Profile/Experience Needed:
- Minimum 1 year of litigation file handling experience (commercial or High Court cases preferred)
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Proven experience handling a varied legal caseload, including involvement in multi-claimant litigation.
- Solid understanding of business insurance matters and foundational accountancy principles.
- Experience drafting legal pleadings and court submissions
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage high-volume caseloads under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Confident communicator with excellent client care skills
- Ability to supervise junior colleagues and collaborate within a team
