Property Recoveries Solicitor
Role Overview
An established national insurance law firm is seeking an experienced property recoveries solicitor to join its highly regarded Property Risks & Coverage team. This role combines the management of complex, high-value property recovery claims with team leadership responsibilities.
The successful candidate will handle a caseload of litigated subrogated recoveries, typically valued between £100,000 and £500,000, arising from incidents such as fires, floods, impact damage and product liability claims. Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, the role will involve supervising and developing a specialist recoveries team, managing insurer client relationships and supporting business growth initiatives.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors with:
- At least 5 years’ claimant property litigation experience.
- Proven experience managing litigated recovery claims.
- Strong technical knowledge of subrogated recoveries and property damage litigation.
- Experience investigating liability, instructing experts and counsel, and negotiating settlements.
- Knowledge of ADR processes, including mediation and joint settlement meetings.
- Strong client management, communication and drafting skills.
- Supervisory, mentoring or team leadership experience.
- A commercial approach and interest in business development activities.
