Family Solicitor
Role Overview
A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse team based in Bath. This is a permanent, full-time position open to candidates from NQ up to around 5 years’ PQE.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and established Family department, managing a varied caseload of legal aid matters while delivering clear, commercially astute advice and outstanding client service. You’ll also contribute to the team’s business development activities, helping to strengthen the firm’s reputation for excellence across the South West.

The successful candidate will be:
- Qualified solicitor with demonstrable experience in Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse work.
- Confident in managing their own caseload with minimal supervision.
- Skilled at building and maintaining client relationships, with a strong focus on client care.
- Organised, methodical, and able to effectively prioritise competing deadlines.
- A clear communicator, both in advocacy and written work.
- A team player who is proactive in supporting colleagues and contributing to departmental objectives.
- Experience in legal aid matters and familiarity with SRA principles and risk management processes would be highly advantageous.
