Junior Costs Negotiator
Role Overview:
A leading national law firm is seeking a Junior Costs Negotiator to assess and settle claims for costs in complex injury matters. Based in Bolton, this full-time, permanent entry-level role offers the opportunity to join a specialist costs team. You will handle your own caseload of end-of-life payables, draft legal costs documents, evaluate cost claims, and support settlement negotiations.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed:
- English & Maths GCSE (Grade A–C / Level 5) or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail with experience drafting legal costs documents (e.g. Points of Dispute, Part 18 Requests)
- Solid understanding of litigation and legal costs processes
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Confident in using Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
- Previous legal office or costs negotiation experience (desirable)
