Role Overview
In this pivotal role within the Procurement team, you will be instrumental in supporting the growth of the procurement practice. Working on a diverse range of projects both nationally and internationally, you’ll engage with public and non-regulated clients, contributing to major projects across various sectors. This role offers a unique blend of contentious and non-contentious work.
Candidate Profile
The firm are seeking a Procurement Solicitor with a solid grasp of procurement regulations and a keen interest in working on both contentious and non-contentious projects. The ideal candidate will have:
– A thorough understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Concession Contracts Regulations 2015, and Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
– Awareness of Procurement Act 2023 reforms, PPNs, and key procurement case law.
– Experience with the Subsidy Control Act 2022, Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011, and Defence Reform Act 2014 (beneficial but not essential).
– The ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative team player.
– Strong client relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to business development.
– Flexibility to work in various locations within the UK and potentially internationally.
